Al utilizar esta soldadura para mecanizar, se establece un arco el\u00e9ctrico entre el electrodo, (que tiene forma de hilo continuo) y la pieza que se suelda.<\/p><p>El gas es inerte, en el caso de que el gas est\u00e9 activo, la soldadura se conocer\u00e1 como MAG. Hay diferentes formas de realizar el soldado con MIG, de forma manual, autom\u00e1tica o semiautom\u00e1tica.<\/p><p>Se puede usar para espesores peque\u00f1os y medios en estructuras de acero y aleaciones de aluminio.
